Rob Auld joins McLaren Property as Construction Director

Rob Auld joins McLaren Property in the New Year as Construction Director, a new role responsible for both McLaren Property and McLaren Living projects in the Midlands and North of England including developments in Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and Warwick.

Rob joins from Moda Living where he was Construction Director and a member of the Moda Development Board, responsible for the construction phase of schemes totalling £685m across the UK. Prior to Moda, Rob held various positions at Laing O’Rourke, including Operations Leader.

Matthew Cova, Managing Director – Delivery, McLaren Property, commented:

We have a strong pipeline of delivery, with a combined value of £1.2bn across 12 sites in the Midlands and North of England. The new role of construction director reflects strong institutional demand for build to rent and student accommodation in the largest towns and cities of the Midlands and North, requiring a step change in delivery. We very much look forward to Rob joining the team in the New Year.

McLaren Property and McLaren Living developments in the north include Upper Brook Street in Manchester, working alongside Property Alliance Group, Moda and Kadans, purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme St Gabriel’s in Manchester. In Leeds, Beck Yard will deliver 375 build-to-rent apartments while Wellington Square, is a mix of build-to-rent (464 apartments) and commercial development. In the Midlands, McLaren Property is bringing forward leading purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) schemes in Birmingham and Warwick.

McLaren Property and Arlington Real Estate have recently been selected, by Homes England and Network Rail, as the joint strategic developers for York Central, one of the UK’s largest city centre regeneration schemes.
